Activity Purpose/ Summary:
Our purpose to facilitate the talent show at the Remand Home was to give the children a chance to perform and express their talents. Our aim was to plan a day that lightens up their moods and empowers them to show their strenghs.

Personnel Input:

Goal: Encouraging the Children in the Remand Home to discover and express
their strengths and talents, as well as contributing to their self-confidence
through a motivating supportive environment.

2:00 pm: Arrival Time
2:30 pm: The Show begins, with Samambo as the MC and the Better Me Team introducing the program and welcoming the crowd.
Warm Up Games included Limbo Dance and Egg Race
2:45 pm: Start Talent Show. The children performed songs, dances, acting skits, magic tricks and modelling.
3:45 pm: Eating Competition. While judges are deliberating the winners there was a bread
eating competition with some of the older boys.
4:15 pm: Winners were announced and prizes were given out.
4:30 pm: Cake and fruit for everyone!

Around 25 Children participated in the show. We saw many dancing performances, funny scetches, singing performances, speeches, poems and work outs. The children who watched the show supported the other ones and everyone had a lot of fun. The eating competition at the end was a highlight for the boys and the audience.

Unanticipated Achievements:
We did not expect the variety of performances and the truly talented skills the children showed us. It was a real delight to organize this event and not only the kids but also we benefited a lot from the atmosphere that was created on that day.
