Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The class started with a theoretical part on the importance of stretching before doing sports, led by Tess and Catharina. It was followed by a practical part consisting of a full-body stretching and some time to play football.

Personnel Input:
In the beginning, Tess and Catharina covered the theoretical aspect of why it’s important to stretch before engaging in sports, focusing on the specific body parts needed for different activities like soccer or swimming, and the benefits that stretching provides. This was followed by a practical session where we went outside and did a full-body stretching routine. Catharina demonstrated the exercises with the help of Tess, while Jule walked around to make sure everyone’s positions were correct. Afterward, the boys were given some time to play football as a little reward for participating.

Achievements:
The boys understood the influence of stretching on their bodies and how it can help prevent injuries, relax the body, and strengthen the mind. Additionally, the entire lesson had a positive effect on their teamwork, and it was fun for them to do something different from the norm. It distracted them from their situation and allowed them to relax and enjoy themselves for a bit.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Participation was high, and the boys seemed to have a lot of fun.
