Activity Purpose/ Summary:
After the last class on regular verbs in the simple past, this time we shifted our focus to irregular verbs. The lesson began with a quick recap of our previous work, followed by a worksheet on irregular verbs, which we then compared at the end.
Personnel Input:
The lesson began with a discussion of what we had covered previously, which was regular verbs in the simple past form. Then we gathered new verbs that are irregular and formed the past tense of those. The next exercise was a worksheet where the students had to form the past tense of several verbs and write a brief description of each. After everyone completed the worksheet, we compared our answers together.
Achievements:
The boys improved their English skills and should be able to build at least some past forms of verbs, allowing them to tell others about what happened in the past.
Unanticipated Achievements:
Some boys were really participating a lot, and a few of them already knew most of the forms, while others didn’t have a clue. The difference in their knowledge was noticeable, but everyone still tried their best to complete the worksheet.
