Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The purpose of this life skills session at the Remand Home was to educate the boys and girls on consent. For the younger boys we focused largely on consent in day to day life and personal boundaries, whereas, for the older more mature boys we discussed sexual consent.

Our team prepared and facilitated the session.

Achievements:
The life skills session was incredibly dynamic. The younger boys fully understood the concept of consent and setting boundaries in their everyday life, whereas the older boys found the topic of sexual consent more difficult to grasp. Further, issues of underlying misogyny and toxic masculinity arose.

– All students were very involved in discussion
