Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The purpose of the activity was to introduce and teach the concept of shortening words or statements using apostrophes, engaging students in practical, hands-on exercises that reinforce learning through alphabet exercises and writing tasks.

Personnel Input:
We first recognized the varying learning paces and styles of students and later adapted teaching methods to cater to these differences. We wanted to broaden the boys’ and girls’ understanding on use of apostrophes to shorten words and statements. Another group of 4 boys were engaged in alphabetical works and how to write their names. This was meant to encourage continuous engagement and practice to solidify understanding.

Achievements:
-Improved understanding among some kids regarding the concept of shortening words or statements using apostrophes.
-Engagement of the small boys in alphabets and writing activities.

Unanticipated Achievements:
-Strengthened skills in recognizing when and how to use apostrophes to shorten words or statements
