Activity Date: 12.03.2024
Start Time: 10:00 AM   End Time: 11:30 AM

Facilitators: Siri Lindblad, Zoey Peters, Frederic Wortman,
Number of Participants: 23
Male: 21   Female: 2

Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The class was taught how to use the future tense in English. Initially, a thorough explanation was provided on the board, collectively discussing the usage of “will,” “will not,” and “going to” in comparison to the present and past tense. Following this, a board game was played in small groups to reinforce and practice the concepts that had been taught.

Personnel Input:
The Better Me personnel collaborated to plan the lesson, with Zoey Peters leading the instruction and explaining the first part on the board. Each facilitator then took charge of their respective group to play the game together, aiming to individualize the learning experience in the most effective manner.

Achievements:
We achieved a better understanding of the use of future tenses in English, specifically how to use “going to,” “will,” and “will not.”

Unanticipated Achievements:
The children thoroughly enjoyed the game, and the fact that it was played in small groups allowed the facilitators to personalize and individualize the learning experience. This approach enabled effective checking for understanding and hopefully broadened the children’s comprehension of the topic.
