Activity Purpose/ Summary:
Homeless of Kisumu inaugurated a new office, which serves as a safe space and hub for numerous programs targeting young people and women. It functions as a central platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and innovation within the Western Kenya region.
Personnel Input:
We conducted an open discussion on the way forward, focusing on merging our programs together, particularly regarding sports for wellness. This joint activity is currently conducted at the remand home, and we explored the possibility of running the same program with our partnering project at the Nyalenda slums.
Achievements:
Having an opportunity to be invited at the meeting with the entire Homeless of Kisumu team members, some who didn’t yet know what we do.
Unanticipated Achievements:
A joint team building that we immediately organized and to have occasional joint activities.
