Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had an eventful day, having an opportunity with the children at the remand home. It was a timely and long awaited moment to share knowledge, fun, food and other activities.
The day began very early with food preparation and organizing for the classes which we gave a name to “Academies”. The intention apart from the hot and and delicious served meals, we intended to open a different platform of skills and knowledge sharing. We divided the kids into two groups and had to classes running. One for the senior group which we did employability that was handled by Kenya Poultry Farmers. Other classes that took part were for talents/sports development, child protection and safeguarding, and importance and benefits of education.
We later had a beautiful opportunity to share Hot chapati and chicken and eventually closed the day with a football tournament.

Personnel Input:
Better Me was the main organizer of the activity at the remand home and was actively involved in planning and executing the entire activity of the day.

Achievements:
A lot of organizations had shown interest and a large number of volunteers participated to make the event a success.

Unanticipated Achievements:
A number of local organizations which had shown interest in participating. The tournament revealed a great improvement on skills the kids had as a result of the football coaching we have been doing.
