Activity Purpose/ Summary:
This was the initial session with the students at the St. Williams primary. Specifically for the 7th and 8th grade however Madda and me have picked grade 8. After a short introduction by the volunteers we started an open discussion about life skills in general. We engaged the students to name any life skill that comes to their mind and to write it down on the board. Afterwards we discussed some of the skills such as “confidence” and “self-awareness”.

Later we also talked about a personal goal for this year and encouraged the students to write this down within their personal notes.

Personnel Input:
Personal experiences and goals for this year were shared with the students.

Achievements:
Having the students doing a recap of earlier sessions and to have them going through this topic again. This kind of work trains them on personal reflection.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Some students were very proactive and contributed way above the average.
Also the high number of committed life skills was a positive surprise.
