Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The visit to Mama Ngina Children’s Home in Kisumu County was aimed at providing support and engagement to the children and staff through team-building and motivational learning activities. Additionally, the collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross Kisumu Chapter aimed to equip both the children and Mama Ngina staff with essential first aid skills.

Personnel Input:
Better Me staff actively engage with the children and staff members, facilitating team-building exercises and motivational learning activities. Through interactive sessions, they aim to instill confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging among the participants.

Achievements:
The visit fostered a positive and supportive environment for the children and staff at Mama Ngina Children’s Home. Better Me personnel successfully conducted team-building activities that promoted teamwork, communication, and leadership skills among the participants. Additionally, the first aid training provided by the Kenya Red Cross Kisumu Chapter equipped both the children and staff with life-saving skills, enhancing their safety and well-being.

Unanticipated Achievements:
One unexpected achievement was the strong rapport and connection that formed between the Better Me staff, the children, and the Mama Ngina staff.
