Activity Purpose/ Summary:
In this life skill lesson we talked about Mental health. We started with a game outside, named “step over the line if…” We gave the kids situations or questions and if they experienced this or they felt like that they needed to take a step over the line. We didn’t obligate them to share but they could share in the group or to the volunteer if they wanted to.
After in class we talked about ways to talk about our feelings and things that have impact on our mental health, positive or negative. We also searched for ways to clear our mind and to work on our mental health like meditation.

Personnel Input:
The volunteers participated in the game so we could show our feelings and thoughts too. It was a good step for the kids to see it was okay to show and talk about it.

Achievements:
– At St. Williams they really opened up in the small groups during the game outside and answered so many questions. They participated very well and were focussed.
– In Korando we got to get to know the kids better by the game outside, they answered a lot of personal questions.

Unanticipated Achievements:
🙂
