Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We met with the older kids in the Remand Home and led an English lesson working on listening comprehension skills using charades, a short story, and then sentences.

Personnel Input:
Zoey and Alex planned and led this lesson, Zoey read and facilitated comprehension conversations. Diana helped to facilitate during the lesson, translating confusing concepts.

Achievements:
We achieved a better understanding of where the students are in their listening comprehension. The students were successfully able to explain what happened in the short story we read, exemplifying good listening comprehension.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The amount of English comprehension that came from a large portion of the group was a positive surprise we encountered.
