Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We started by reviewing the simple present tense. We went over when to use it, how to form it, and the negative form. Then, we introduced the present continuous tense, explaining when to use it and the signal words. We also demonstrated how to form it and the negative form. Finally, we had them complete a worksheet to practice using the -ing form, the correct form of “be,” and creating negative sentences in the present continuous tense.

Personnel Input:
We taught them how to use the present continuous and repeated the simple present.

Achievements:
Most of the kids were able to fill out the worksheets.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The girls completed their worksheets quickly and efficiently.
