Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The mind is a vast and endless part of the human psyche. Through experiencing and learning new things, we fire new neural pathways that better strengthen the brain power allowing us to easily be open to learning things that might seem impossible. The art therapy session this week was about exploring and expanding the creative mind of the 5th and 6th graders through imagination , with the aim of curbing any rigidity that could stop us from creating art and anything therefore freely .
Personnel Input:
The Better Me personnel presented the children with the challenge of creating a living creature that does not exist without any limitation of colour, size or form, while also getting to give the creature a name of their choice.
Achievements:
We got the children to be absolutely free in their creations, which allowed them an hour’s worth of absolute fun and freedom.
Unanticipated Achievements:
Most of the children requested to always be doing the imagination art sessions every other week.
