Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We worked with worksheets to facilitate the development of speaking in the English language, and then worked on translating words from Kiswahili to english while looking at grammatical tenses.
Personnel Input:
Better Me personnel planned and facilitated the entire activity. The class was split into two groups, with Zoey Peters leading one and Lukas Hanses leading the other. Both groups took part in the same activity, in which each participant provided their names and an adjective that started with the same letter. After that, in a larger group, we looked at Kiswahili words and how they translated to english, focusing on conjugation and where to place a subject in a sentence.
Achievements:
We were able to impart an understanding of what an adjective is to the class, and the students continued to work on english pronunciation and speaking.
