In today’s session, we dove into the world of Communication. We explored its importance and the various ways to enhance our communication skills. Jerry guided the high school students through this with fun games and exercises rooted in improvisation, ensuring that all the students thoroughly grasped the concepts.
The session was beneficial for the students because Jerry’s interactive games made learning about communication engaging and relatable. More than just theory, the hands-on exercises gave them practical skills they can use in real-life scenarios, boosting their confidence in daily interactions.
During the session, Jerry’s methods helped students understand intricate communication concepts in an engaging manner. The ‘whispered drawings’ exercise was especially captivating for them. Generally, these interactive games enhanced their skills and bolstered their confidence in communicating effectively.
Notably, students who were typically hesitant showed enthusiastic participation during the ‘whispered drawings’ exercise. This newfound engagement indicates not only an increased interest but also a boost in their confidence, suggesting they’re more likely to embrace communication opportunities in the future.
The session highlighted several key takeaways. Hands-on exercises, like “whispered drawings”, effectively engaged students, even those typically hesitant. A diverse range of teaching methods is essential to reach different learners. Additionally, it became clear that creativity holds a universal appeal, resonating with students regardless of age or background.
The next step could involve designing more creative, hands-on activities that build upon the foundational communication skills introduced, ensuring continued engagement and deeper learning for all students.
