Foreword
BOARD OF DIRECTORS, BETTER ME E.V.
Dear readers,
We are looking back at yet another successful year. Our team in Kenya continued to grow and was able to build on the successes of the previous years.
Both, our YUMP and our volunteer program, experienced tremendous growth during last year and thanks to our supporters, we were able to break our record and reach more than 11,000 children and young people in Nyanza, Kenya. We are incredibly proud of our team in Kenya, that is driving this important work forward. Together with our new partners, we are reaching beneficiaries right where our help is needed.
As in the previous years, we continued to deepen our partnership with the regional government to represent the interests of children and young people and to increase the focus on mental health. In this way, we were able to contribute our experience and knowledge to the development of child and youth development in the region.
We also focused and refined our internal structures and processes and provided training and team-building for our team in Kenya. This created a strong foundation for continued growth and ensures that we continue to achieve our purpose effectively and efficiently.
Another major milestone was the donation of the betterme.org domain, which now hosts our refreshed bi-lingual website. The new domain further established Better Me as a recognizable international brand. An important step towards our mission to inspire the world with our core methodology; “A Better World starts with a Better Me”.
We hope to build on the achievements of 2022 and continue to improve our program so we can continue to serve the children & youth of Kenya in the future.
With gratitude,
Torsten Kremser, Simon Kühnert and Gudrun Kremser
