The Next Generation of Innovators

We are proud to announce our partnership with FabLab Winam, an open-access laboratory for creative fabricators, artists, scientists, engineers, educators, students, amateurs, and professionals of all ages. The goal is to empower our students with skills and knowledge to solve local challenges and with that, become economically self-reliable.

FabLab teaches our kids Art and Design to explore their creativity while having fun. An activity as simple as coloring can train a kid’s brain to think in “open-ended” answers, which means that their brain learns to consider all possible options, even ones that aren’t usually thought of. Art helps children understand more about themselves and others. The Art and Design course helps identify the children who can then be graduated to a higher-level design module.

Digital Fabrication focuses on new ways of designing that maximizes the potential of the latest automated, computer-controlled manufacturing processes. This includes research into new design methods, techniques and tools as well as the psychosocial and economic impacts of these processes. Fablab introduced our students to the concept of sustainability, computer aided design, 3D printing and vinyl cutting. The students are able to see the machines working and producing different designs, they are learning about this manufacturing process and how to design and print their own innovations.

We hope that exposing our kids to this new program will help them see the world through a different lens and thus, create a better world for them and everyone else 😊
