Activity Purpose/ Summary:
Partnering with Jijenge Youth Organization, who are currently implementing a project on drugs and substance abuse, and working as the Focal point of African Union on drugs and prevention in partnership with the National Authority For The Campaign Against Alcohol and Drugs Abuse (NACADA), we organized a weekend session with our senior primary and junior secondary school students at Korando Educational Centre to help them understand the different types of drugs and their effects on the human body and life in general.

Personnel Input:
We obtained permission from the school to conduct the session and assisted in facilitating the event by creating a platform for the invited guests. They introduced the session and gave the kids the opportunity to discuss drugs, including different types and their effects on the human body, as well as the misuse of drugs and their long-term impact on our psychological well-being and social lives.

The kids enjoyed the class and are looking forward to continuous sessions.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The kids knew about drugs, substance abuse, and their effects, both long and short term.
