Activity Date: 04.06.2024
Start Time: 10:00 AM   End Time: 12:00 PM

Facilitators: Laura Ridderbusch, Spencer Akoth, Vivian Envango, Jule Schlageter, Ruth Oblio, Lucy Geschwendtner
Number of Participants: 12
Male: 10   Female: 2

Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We started the class by reviewing the present continuous tense. We explained how this tense is formed and when it is used, providing signal words such as “at the moment,” “now,” and “next weekend.” After this, we handed out a worksheet with two different exercises.

Personnel Input:
We reviewed the present continuous because we felt the students hadn’t fully grasped it in the previous session. Therefore, we went through the topic again, explaining everything in detail. After this, we gave them a worksheet. The first exercise was designed to consolidate their understanding of the present continuous, while the second exercise was a word puzzle. This served as a small reward and helped to expand their vocabulary.

Achievements:
The students gained a deeper understanding of the present continuous tense. Additionally, they learned that participating well in class could earn them a reward, such as the word puzzle at the end of the session.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The participation in this class was much better than in the last session. The students listened carefully and completed the worksheets quickly.
