Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We received a last-minute invitation to participate in a clean-up activity at level 5 hospital in Kisumu, in partnership with the National Youth Service, Kisumu County Government, and International Youth Fellowship. Due to the large size of the hospital and shortage of workforce, they reached out to stakeholders for support in making the hospital environment friendly.
The day started with introductions of each team present and an official welcome from the hospital heads and staff. We were then divided into different working spaces within the hospital, guided and led by the hospital staff.

Personnel Input:
We helped with the clean-up and supervised the students from International Youth Fellowship, who were the hosts of the program.

Achievements:
We were part of a new initiative in the city that focuses on making significant strides toward achieving and maintaining environmental sustainability within hospital facilities.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Despite no meals being provided and no transport facilitation, the youths were deeply engaged in the activity.

Supporting Partners:
International Youth Fellowship, National Youth Service, County Government of Kisumu and the Jaramogi Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
