Activity Purpose/ Summary:
In our recent English classes at the remand home, we focused on the topic of phrasal verbs to help the boys improve their ability to create and understand these expressions. The session was designed to engage them in critical thinking and expand their English speaking skills by exploring the nuances and variations of phrasal verbs. Through interactive activities and discussions, the boys learned how to construct phrasal verbs, derive their meanings, and use them effectively in sentences. This hands-on approach not only improved their vocabulary but also boosted their confidence in using English in everyday conversations.

On Friday, the class took a test on phrasal verbs as previously taught. This report captures what was done on both Tuesday and Friday.

Personnel Input:
The success of this session was largely due to the dedicated personnel involved. The instructors’ enthusiasm and commitment to making the class engaging and educational were crucial. Their ability to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere enabled the boys to feel comfortable and confident in their learning process. Overall, the class on phrasal verbs was a significant step forward in enhancing the boys’ English language skills and provided valuable insights for future educational initiatives.

Achievements:
One of the key achievements of the class was the noticeable improvement in the boys’ ability to identify and use phrasal verbs accurately. They became more comfortable with both common and less familiar phrasal verbs, demonstrating a significant enhancement in their overall language skills. Additionally, the boys showed increased enthusiasm for learning English, actively participating in exercises and showing curiosity about the language. Another notable achievement was the development of critical thinking skills as the boys analyzed and deduced the meanings of various phrasal verbs based on context.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Unanticipated achievements from the class included the boys’ increased cooperation and teamwork. They often worked together to solve exercises and help each other understand the material, fostering a sense of mutual support.
