🌍 Collective Action for a Cleaner, Healthier Commu 🌍 Collective Action for a Cleaner, Healthier Community 💚 Yesterday, our team participated in a community street clean-up initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and responsibility. Through this activity, we reaffirmed our commitment to creating cleaner, safer, and more sustainable spaces for all. Each small action from collecting litter to raising awareness contributes to a greater goal: protecting our environment and strengthening community well-being. 🌟 Championing Workplace Wellness Through Play & Co 🌟 Championing Workplace Wellness Through Play & Connection 🌟 Our team joined fellow organizations at Moi Stadium, Kisumu, for a staff wellness event hosted by Blue Cross Kenya. The gathering brought together 14 committed partners from across the county to promote physical well-being, emotional balance, and stronger workplace relationships. The highlight of the day was a friendly football match themed “Kicking Stress Out of the Workplace.” Participants were reminded that staff care, emotional well-being, and mental balance are essential foundations for impactful work ✨. The atmosphere was filled with laughter 😁, teamwork, networking, and healthy competition 🫶 demonstrating once again that a strong, supported team is every organization’s greatest asset. The event also reaffirmed the power of sport as a tool for unity and positive change , a spirit we proudly uphold through #playforchange, strengthening collaboration within Kisumu County’s social impact community. These sessions offer safe, structured spaces where children can read, explore new ideas, and immerse themselves in stories that spark imagination and build literacy skills. 📚✨ Through regular reading circles, creative activities, and guided learning, the mobile library helps nurture a culture of curiosity, learning, and positive engagement during the school break — keeping children meaningfully occupied and connected to opportunities for growth. 🤝 Building Capacity Through Collaboration We had 🤝 Building Capacity Through Collaboration We had the wonderful opportunity to engage with the newly recruited volunteers at the Kenya Red Cross Kisumu Branch for an introductory session and capacity-building training on Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) for First Responders. The session focused on understanding individual experiences in crisis situations, responding to trauma with empathy, and prioritizing self-care for those offering frontline support. Through open discussions and shared reflections, participants gained valuable insights into recognizing signs of distress, offering compassionate assistance, and sustaining their own mental well-being. This collaboration not only strengthened our partnership with the Kenya Red Cross but also reaffirmed our shared commitment to community resilience and mental health support. 💛

The discussions aimed to help the young athletes understand how healthy eating supports performance, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
