Happy days at Korando as we celebrate the completion of yet another piece of ProjectARK ❤️👏 The new shower block with 5 cubicles for the girls and 4 for the boys is now finished! 💦😊

♻️ The sustainable design ensures water preservation by reusing 100% of the grey water to irrigate the banana plantation! 🍌🌴🤝🌍😃

Our education fund (SHAPE) is providing the bridge

Our education fund (SHAPE) is providing the bridge for students who graduate from Korando to continue their education in high schools 🏫🎓✨

This year the fund is supporting 107 students with over Kshs. 2.8 Million (€ 21.000). The funding for this is coming from volunteer fees, donations and child sponsorships. 🙏

A few days ago Mama County visited us once more, together with @akotheekenya, Dr. Omondi and other friends and family members, who were very excited to learn about our Volunteer Dome House and the Korando Educational Centre.

With great smiles and laughter, Akothee donated bales of @raha_premium flour to Mama Dolfine😁🫶 and Dr. Omondi generously supported ProjectARK❤️, bridging the budget gap to finish the new classrooms and all other renovations! 🥳🤝

We’re once more incredibly grateful for the generous support Korando is receiving and excited to complete ProjectARK as a major sMilestone for Korando! 🙏

The fundraiser is now at 90%, with all critical needs covered! 👏👏👏

🎉✨ 10 YEARS OF BETTER ME! ✨🎉

On this 9th day of January, we celebrate a decade of transforming lives, creating real-world impact, and building a community that truly believes “A Better World Starts with a Better Me.” 🌍💫

It was on this day, 10 years ago, that Torsten and his friend Mathilde decided to start a project that would support Mama Dolfine and the Korando Educational Centre with volunteers. Little did they know that their “project” would turn into an organization, that would touch tens of thousands of lives around Kisumu! 👏✨

Thank you to both of you for having had the vision and courage to take the first step! As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

Today, we have an amazing team of truly passionate individuals, ready to take on the next decade of impact!

From the lives we’ve touched to the incredible volunteers who’ve become family, this journey has been nothing short of magical. And we’re just getting started! 🚀

We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with YOU—our volunteers, supporters, and partners who’ve made it all possible. 🧡
