Beyond School Holiday camp

For us school breaks are a great time to have the children get a new experience away from the usual school programs. This year, Better Me used this opportunity to organize camps in April, August and November for all the children in our programs. Our holiday camps are a special time because they bring together all our children from primary and secondary school in a creative and fun space.

The first phase of our camps involved the older children from secondary school and upper primary. The older children’s session started with workshops on building confidence and self-esteem. This built up to the main part of the camp that was led by our partners from IYF. Our children had a fun time learning dance routines, the boys had a blast with the martial art lessons and when they were done with the physical activities the children even learned some Korean!

During the camp the teachers were not left behind, as they were also involved in the energetic activities of the day. From the tug of war to other mind recreation activities, the exercises helped to foster unity and trust amongst the staff and with the children. The children went home having made new memories, friends and a better mindsets!

Corporate Social Responsability

In 2020 we are planning again to have 3 camps at Korando and a few more for other schools. If you or your company would like to sponsor a camp, please contact us directly via [email protected]
