Number of Participants: 25

Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We began by explaining what crafting is and demonstrated the origami boxes and boats we planned to make with the kids. In three groups, each volunteer guided the children step by step on how to create the origami, and the kids followed our instructions. At the end, we discussed the importance of patience, teamwork, and precision—essential life skills needed when making origami.
Personnel Input:
Each volunteer worked with a small group of children to show them how origami is made and to assist them with any questions or problems. Kelvin provided help with linguistic issues.
Achievements:
After the lesson, everyone had several small boxes to store their items. Additionally, the kids quickly learned how to build the boxes, so they can now do it without our instructions.
Unanticipated Achievements:
After showing them how to make the boxes for the first time, many kids were able to create the second one without any help because they quickly memorized the process.
