Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We conducted a life skills session called “Redefining Love,” aimed at helping students develop a healthy and practical understanding of love. The discussion focused on the importance of cultivating self-love as the foundation for building meaningful and respectful relationships with others.
Personnel Input:
During the session, we guided students to reflect on how they care for themselves emotionally, mentally, and socially, and how this self-care directly impacts their interactions with others. Students actively shared personal experiences, like exchanging letters with their deskmates as gestures of appreciation and kindness. These actions showed their understanding that love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a practice expressed through self-respect, intentional care, and acts of kindness toward others in their school and community.
Achievements:
We were able to provide our club attendees with flowers, sanitary towels, underwear, bread, and toiletries.
Unanticipated Achievements:
The engagement and the numbers.
