CHILDREN IN PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Korando Educational Centre is a beacon of hope for vulnerable children, providing free primary and junior high education in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The centre started in 1996 and is operated by our partner, the Dolfine Korando Faith Foundation – spearheaded by it’s founder, Mama Dolfine.
Beyond academics, the center ensures that students receive daily meals and essential medical care, creating a foundation for their overall well-being.
By addressing these basic needs, we empower children to focus on their studies and dream of a brighter future. Our dedicated teachers and volunteers work tirelessly to foster creativity and growth, offering extracurricular activities such as creative arts, PE, and swimming to enhance learning and build confidence.
We also go beyond the classroom to support the holistic development of our students and their families. Through psychosocial support programs, we help children navigate emotional challenges and equip their families with tools for resilience.
The center continually evolves, with ongoing infrastructure improvements to ensure a safe, inspiring learning environment.
By combining education, wellness, and community support, the Korando Educational Centre is transforming lives and breaking the cycle of poverty, one child at a time.
Korando by the Numbers
Every month, Better Me provides essential support to the Korando Educational Center, contributing to key areas such as teacher and staff salaries, daily meals for the children, infrastructure improvements, ongoing maintenance, and a dedicated medical fund. This consistent support ensures that the center can continue offering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for all the children in its care.
