Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had a session on sustainable farming methods aimed at increasing food production, reducing dependency, and lowering the cost of living at the community level.
Personnel Input:
Organized the session, introduced the topic, and assessed the students’ understanding of smart agriculture and basic farming concepts. Considering that 76% of farmers in Kenya engage in subsistence farming, we discussed the challenges of low food production. We also covered household food security and sustainable agricultural practices.
