Activity Purpose/ Summary:
A life skills session was held on the topic “Wounds of the Heart and Social Problems,” focusing on the subtopic “Desire and Self-Control.” The session aimed to help learners understand the meaning of desire and self-control, explore their positive and negative aspects, and discuss how self-control can support responsible decision-making and help avoid harmful behaviors. Learners engaged actively, sharing their views and experiences throughout the discussion.

Personnel Input:
Better Me personnel facilitated the session by explaining the topic, leading discussions, encouraging participation, and guiding learners to understand desire and self-control in a supportive and engaging way.

Achievements:
The learners gained a better understanding of the concepts of desire and self-control, and were able to distinguish between positive and negative desires. They actively participated in discussions, reflected on real-life situations, and recognized the importance of self-control in making responsible decisions and avoiding risky behaviors. Overall, their engagement and insights contributed to a productive and meaningful learning experience.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The learners were more open and engaged than expected. Many confidently shared personal experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and supported each other during the discussion, which led to deeper understanding and meaningful participation.
