Activity Purpose/ Summary:
Upon an official invitation from the Student Leadership Department, we had the opportunity to speak with students about key life skills, including managing life pressures, academic performance, peer influence, identity, and personal expectations. The session was designed to help learners reflect on the internal and external pressures they face, while providing practical strategies to navigate academic demands, build a healthy sense of self, and make informed, positive decisions despite peer and societal influences. This engagement created a welcoming space for open discussion, allowing students to connect the topics to their own experiences and strengthening their resilience and self-awareness.

Personnel Input:
We began the session with a reality check, sharing relevant statistics to capture the students’ attention and raise awareness about the magnitude of the issue. We presented research findings that highlighted the growing number of young people and students experiencing mental health challenges and related conditions. This helped learners understand that these struggles are real and increasingly common among their peers. We also provided practical examples of contributing factors, such as academic pressure, peer influence, family expectations, and personal identity struggles, helping students connect the statistics to their everyday experiences and realities.

Achievements:
Leading the session, even with other speakers invited, was a real achievement.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Out of their own free will, the number of students who showed up
