Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had such a heartwarming session one that truly reminded us why we do what we do. After several months away, we were invited back to speak to the students, and the joy and excitement on their faces as they welcomed us back was simply priceless. This school holds a special place in our hearts, as it was the very first one we visited when we officially launched the YUMP program. At exactly 4:10, the students were all seated, their eyes full of anticipation, as the teacher warmly reintroduced our team. Taking center stage, we felt an incredible sense of connection and purpose as we began to deliver the content we had carefully prepared. This week’s session explored navigation as a concept, helping the learners reflect on where they are now and envision where they want to be in the future. It was a profound and eye-opening experience for both them and us.

Personnel Input:
Our dedicated team began preparations early in the morning, filled with excitement and purpose for the day ahead. Moulik and Eloisa took on the special task of crafting the diagram we’d use during the session. Mindful of the large number of students, they worked carefully to create something clear and visible for everyone to follow. When the time came, Samambo set the tone with his warm, heartfelt welcome, inviting everyone into the session and sparking smiles all around with our signature “kamoja” clap—a simple yet powerful gesture of appreciation that never fails to bring the room to life. Then Kelvin stepped forward to deliver the day’s content, weaving it into an engaging and interactive conversation. The learners leaned in, eager to share their own thoughts and insights as they explored and deepened their understanding of the topic together with us.

Achievements:
Being invited again is a positive sign.

Unanticipated Achievements:
