Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had a wonderful experience with students from St. Teresa Girls, Kisumu Environmental Champions, and Black Girls Rising—an organization based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our visitors enjoyed a tour around the compound, followed by a warm introduction from Mama Dolfine, who shared the inspiring story of the center’s origins and its journey of growth. It was a powerful moment to demonstrate resilience to the girls and reflect on the challenges faced along the path of leadership.

Personnel Input:
Organized the session and provided the platform for our guests, preparing for the round table discussion on environmental awareness and wellness.

Achievements:
Our girls will have the opportunity to join the next cohort of Black Girl Rising in Cape Town.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The level of participation our students demonstrated, despite not having much exposure to activism and advocacy, was impressive.
