Activity Purpose/ Summary:
Last Tuesday, we continued the discussion class previously led by Anja, focusing on enhancing the students’ memory. The session was crafted to engage the boys in interactive exercises that not only boosted their recall abilities but also kept them actively involved in the learning process. The students were enthusiastic and participated wholeheartedly, making the class lively and engaging. To wrap up the lesson, we reviewed the work they had done throughout the session before transitioning into a discussion on a passage about forgiveness. This conversation aimed to help the students understand the importance of forgiveness, its impact on personal growth, and how it contributes to emotional well-being.
Personnel Input:
From a personal perspective, this class was a meaningful experience. It allowed me to observe the students’ progress in both their memory skills and their ability to engage in deeper conversations about personal development. Their willingness to share their thoughts on forgiveness was particularly encouraging, as it demonstrated a level of introspection and emotional awareness that was impressive for their age.
Achievements:
One of the key achievements of the session was the active participation of the boys, who showed significant improvement in recalling details from previous discussions. Their engagement in the exercises demonstrated that they were not only grasping the techniques but also enjoying the process.
Unanticipated Achievements:
An unexpected achievement was their openness in discussing forgiveness, with many sharing personal experiences and insights on how they have dealt with conflicts in the past. This level of honesty and reflection created a safe space for meaningful dialogue, reinforcing the importance of emotional intelligence.
