Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The purpose of the activity was to equip participants with basic first aid knowledge and practical skills they can use to respond effectively during emergencies before professional medical assistance arrives. The session covered the meaning and importance of first aid, the contents of a first aid kit, and the management of common injuries, including bleeding control, burns, and fractures.
Personnel Input:
Better Me personnel facilitated the training by preparing and delivering lessons on first aid principles and emergency response. They demonstrated basic first aid techniques, guided practical sessions, answered participants’ questions, and encouraged active participation. The facilitators also highlighted the importance of quick decision-making, safety precautions, and teamwork during emergencies, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Participants showed exceptional enthusiasm and interest during the practical demonstrations. Several participants volunteered to demonstrate first aid techniques, which helped improve peer learning. There was noticeable teamwork and cooperation among participants during group activities. Many expressed interest in receiving more advanced health and safety training in the future.
