Activity Purpose/ Summary:
List of irregular verbs, reading and filling in the correct forms, word search
Personnel Input:
We handed the kids a list of irregular verbs, including the simple past and past participle forms. We let them read through the list for a few minutes, and then we gave them another worksheet. The second worksheet contained several simple sentences where they had to fill in the simple past form of the given word. They still had the list to check the forms. For the kids who finished quickly, we provided another sheet, which was a word search where they had to find and circle irregular words.
Achievements:
We successfully helped the kids learn some irregular verbs along with their simple past and past participle forms.
Unanticipated Achievements:
Some of the kids already knew some forms and didn’t even need the list to look them up.
