Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had an amazing and impactful session at ICS College, Kisumu, where we engaged with female students on the ongoing project by Jijenge Youth Organization titled “Mitigating Cyber Violence Against Women in Kisumu County.” The school management gave us a warm welcome, and the student leaders introduced us to an eager and attentive group of students. The session provided a safe space to openly discuss online safety, the realities of cyber violence, and the importance of empowering young women with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves in the digital space.

Personnel Input:
Preparing and co-facilitating the session.

Achievements:
Partnership, having the opportunity to visit the institution again.

Unanticipated Achievements:
Most young people aren’t fully aware of the risks and threats that come with using online platforms, and this session really highlighted how important it is to raise awareness. It was great to see how eager the students were to learn more about online safety. Many of them expressed real concern about their digital security and showed genuine interest in understanding how they can protect themselves and their peers from cyber violence.
