Activity Purpose/ Summary:
An interactive art session was held with 37 children at Korando Educational Center to encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through drawing and coloring activities. Participants were introduced to basic art concepts, inspired to create original artwork, and given the chance to present and explain their drawings. The session also promoted teamwork, communication, and critical thinking, all while providing a fun and engaging learning environment.
Personnel Input:
Better Me personnel facilitated the entire art session by introducing the activity, demonstrating basic drawing and coloring techniques, distributing art materials, and guiding learners throughout the creative process. They encouraged every participant to express themselves confidently, provided individual support and positive feedback, and made sure everyone was actively involved.
Achievements:
Improved children’s creativity, imagination, and artistic skills. Boosted participants’ confidence through presenting and discussing their artwork. Promoted teamwork, patience, and effective communication among learners. Created an enjoyable and supportive learning environment.
Unanticipated Achievements:
Several children demonstrated exceptional artistic talent and creativity beyond expectations. Many participants who were initially shy became actively involved, confidently sharing their artwork and encouraging their peers. The enthusiasm and collaboration among the children truly made the session a success.
