Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The purpose of this session was to help the youth at the remand center develop a champion’s mindset by learning how to approach life with the same preparation, discipline, and resilience as a professional athlete.

Personnel Input:
Thomas Ogalo facilitated the session, sharing insights from his rugby experience to show how athletic discipline can carry over into everyday life.

Achievements:
Participants actively engaged in discussions about building a champion’s mindset, exploring how preparation, discipline, positive thinking, and resilience can be applied to their own life goals. They also participated in physical exercises to reinforce the idea that champions are made through consistent effort.

Unanticipated Achievements:
The session became a meaningful bonding experience, with the youth inspired by Thomas leading by example and joining him in exercises like burpees and push-ups, which deepened their engagement. Thomas encouraged everyone to adopt a champion’s mindset each day, using the mantra, “I am capable, I am a champion, and I will show up for myself,” as a daily reminder.
