Activity Purpose/ Summary:
We had an incredible opportunity to engage with Form 2 and Form 3 students at St. Teresa’s Girls, Kibuye, under the themes “The Girl I Am, The Change I Need” and “Girls on the Frontline of Crisis.” The students were excited for our visit, and we started by exploring their understanding of crisis and how they respond to difficult situations. The session was engaging and thought-provoking, with the girls confidently sharing their experiences and insights on overcoming challenges despite societal barriers. Their resilience and optimism were inspiring, reminding us of the powerful change young girls can create when given a platform to express themselves.

Personnel Input:
After introductions from each of the teams represented, we moved into the main session, followed by group discussions and a Q&A segment. To keep the energy up, we included some quick icebreaker activities, which ended up being a highlight for many students. We wrapped up the day—and our final engagement with the school for the year—with a fun photography session, celebrating the students’ participation, growth, and enthusiasm throughout our sessions.

Achievements:
Running more sessions with St. Teresa Girls this year.

Unanticipated Achievements:
How the students opened up to share their experiences.
