Activity Purpose/ Summary:
The Art Class aimed to nurture learners’ creativity, imagination, and self-expression through hands-on drawing and coloring activities. Learners were introduced to basic art concepts such as shapes, lines, color blending, and neatness while creating their own artwork. The session encouraged creativity, focus, teamwork, and confidence as learners shared ideas and appreciated each other’s work in a supportive and engaging environment.
Personnel Input:
Better Me personnel facilitated the art lesson by demonstrating simple drawing techniques, guiding learners through sketching and coloring, providing encouragement throughout the activity, and offering individual support as needed. The facilitators also emphasized creativity, patience, and teamwork, helping learners build their artistic skills and confidence in a supportive environment.
Achievements:
Learners successfully completed creative drawing and coloring activities. Participants improved their artistic, observational, and fine motor skills. Creativity and imagination were encouraged through independent artwork. Learners showed confidence by presenting and explaining their drawings. Teamwork and peer learning were fostered as learners shared ideas and supported each other.
Unanticipated Achievements:
One of the highlights of the session was the impressive creativity shown by many learners. Several participants created imaginative drawings that went beyond expectations. Even those who were initially hesitant became engaged and confidently finished their artwork.
